Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist

Kimberley is a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She completed her specialist training, along with a two-year fellowship, at Starship Children’s Hospital in New Zealand. She then undertook advanced clinical fellowships in paediatric hepatology at King’s College Hospital and paediatric gastroenterology at Evelina Children’s Hospital in London.

At Cambridge, Kimberley leads the paediatric hepatology service and has a specialist focus on caring for children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Her key clinical interests include primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), paediatric IBD, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).

Research: Kimberley is actively involved in translational research through the Zilbauer Group at the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, with a focus on advancing the understanding and treatment of paediatric IBD.  She also participates in clinical trials aimed at improving outcomes for children with IBD.
