Research Assistant

Fariba Khan is a stem cell biologist with a background in pharmaceutical technology and regenerative medicine. She earned a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Asia Pacific, Bangladesh, and later completed a master’s in Stem Cells and Regeneration from the University of Bristol, UK. In 2024, she joined Professor Zilbauer’s lab as a Research Assistant, where she contributes to research on epigenetic mechanisms in Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD). Her main role is to maintain and expand the lab’s organoid biobank, setting up new organoid cultures from gut biopsies, and providing support for various ongoing projects in the lab.
