Eva Blahusova graduated with MSci in Biomedical Sciences (2023) from University of Southampton. After completing her master’s degree, she joined Prof Zilbauer’s lab as a research assistant. The group’s research theme is focused on the role of epigenetics in health and disease, particularly Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, exploring the mechanisms with the help of human intestinal organoids. Her main role within the team is to maintain the group’s biobank and to set up new organoid cultures from gut biopsies as well as to assist with various lab-related projects.
